- There is a significant need for consolidated sources of information about Intermodal Inland Waterway Transport.
- Logistics education and training on Intermodal IWT lack modern and attractive learning tools.
- Awareness of European logistics sector for Intermodal IWT has to be increased.

What has been achieved within the project?
- Collection, systemisation, extension, update and didactical preparation of information on IWT and Intermodality for the web-based training.
- Development, test and implementation of an eLearning platform for IWT, the so-called INeS – Inland Navigation eLearning System as a best practice solution.
- Composition of training recommendations for using an eLearning platform in education and training.
- Development of a common European concept for eLearning with regard to IWT.
